When Bear, a 20-lb Patterdale terrier mix, went missing, his owner, Bryan Raposo, hoped Bear’s microchip would bring his best buddy home to him. The good news: It did. Bear turned up in an animal shelter two days later. The weird news: The shelter was in Tacoma, Washington, a whopping 720 miles and 13 hours from Bear’s home in Rio Linda, California.
