![About Us]() YouthServices IT is a service
of CitySpan Technologies, Inc. Based in Berkeley, California,
CitySpan is a community of engineers and policy analysts dedicated
to creating software for the social services sector. CitySpan has an
additional office in Brooklyn, NY.
Founded in 1996, CitySpan
has distinguished itself as a leading developer of Internet
software. In 1997, CitySpan implemented one of the nation’s first
web based grant management systems. In 1998, CitySpan provided web
based service management software to the Wallace Readers Digest
Evaluation of Extended Service Schools and the San Francisco Beacon
Initiative. In the same year, CitySpan won a HUD Best Practices
Award for an online Affordable Housing Information System built for
the City of San Francisco. The firm continues to provide technology
to major service initiatives and evaluations.
CitySpan
believes that proper software design is the key to systems that are
reliable, maintainable and cost-effective. To this end, our software
is developed using the C# programming language, object-oriented
design principles and standard data access languages such SQL and
XSLT. CitySpan is an early implementer of Microsoft’s .Net platform
and XML-based web services. For more information about CitySpan,
