The
system’s Security+™ Anti-Burglary Coding provides a line of
home defense against burglars equipped with sophisticated
"code grabber" devices. Every time you use the remote
control to open the lock, integrated anti-burglary technology
rolls the code over to any one of 100 billion new codes, none
of which are ever repeated. By implementing a new code with
each use, stolen codes are useless to unwanted intruders and
your home is safe and secure.
This
complex system is simple to install: just replace your existing
door hardware with the 1” steel lock system and use either
the remote control provided or program your garage door opener
to interact with the system. No wiring is needed and you can
perform the do-it-yourself installation with standard household
tools. You can even paint the wood housing to match your home’s
interior and exterior color schemes. An indicator light on
the provided remote gives audio and visual notice when you
open or close your lock: a light blinks once when it's locked,
twice when it's open.
Although
this system is keyless, two back-up keys are provided—just
in case you misplace your remote control. Operates on lithium
batteries (included), which should last between three and
five years with normal operation. Low-battery indicator emits
both light and sound warnings when battery is low. Deadbolt
is made of one-inch hardened steel; wood and plastic housing
fits standard cutouts on all doors. Measures 9” x 4” x 12”
and weighs 7 lbs. Remote control measures approximately 2”
