HOW GENTLY GOLD CARESS WORKS

The Gently Gold Caress will give you silky-smooth, hair-free skin. Advanced pain-reduction technology has been implemented on this new model, greatly reducing the pain that may be associated with removing unwanted body hair. With its curved, ergonomic shape and patent- pending multiple gold-plated disc tweezers, Gently Gold Caress follows the shape of your body to quickly and effectively remove unwanted body hairs as short as 0.25 cm in length, directly from the root.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

• Ensure you have all components: Gently Gold Caress, adapter, loofah,cleaning brush and pouch.
• Insert plug into the base of the unit and plug the adapter into electrical outlet.
• The red indicator will light during the charging. NOTE: Charge for 16 hours when charging for the first time.
• After charging, remove the plug from the base of the unit. NOTE: If the unit is not fully charged, it can be used with the plug connected to the unit.
• Remove the unit’s protective plastic cover.
• The unit has two speeds: LOW speed for fine hair and HIGH speed for coarse hair.
• The pain reducers on the sides help to reduce the pain when removing hair.
• Holding the unit in your palm, position at 90° to the skin, just touching the surface of the skin. Do not apply any pressure to the skin.
• Switch the unit on and gently glide it in short, quick sweeping circular motions. Repeat within each area until all unwanted hair is removed.
• Make sure the skin is taut, taking special care to extend the leg before removing hair from behind the knee.
• May be used for the bikini area or underarm (hold the skin taut with one hand), or may be used to remove individual hair from the face.
• Remove the cover of the unit by gently pressing on the blue button on the side.

• Replace the cover and recharge for next use.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Make sure that hair removal areas are clean, dry and free of oil. In order to avoid perspiring, which will impair the hair-removal process, use your Gently Gold Caress in a location with a comfortable room temperature.
• The time required to remove unwanted hair will vary depending on the quantity and density of the user’s hair. After several months of repeated use, there may be a reduction of hair growth in a given area and the remaining hair may be thinner and finer.
• Clean your Gently Gold Caress after every use. To clean the gold discs, remove the disc cover by pressing the cover release button and pulling the cover up. Using the brush provided, brush the gold discs on all sides. Finally, close the cover. Your Gently Gold Caress is now ready for its next use.
• Your Gently Gold Caress can be safely used on the bikini line. If the bikini line hair is too long (usually after a long period when the hair has not been removed), first trim the hair with a scissors or trimmer prior to using your Gently Gold Caress.
• Use your Gently Gold Caress about once a week. Frequent touch-ups will help weaken your hair, which makes the hair removal process gentler and less painful.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Does it hurt?

The first time you use Gently Gold Caress, you might feel a prickling sensation—you are pulling hair out the by root. After several uses, the tweezing becomes more comfortable, even for those with sensitive skin. As with any epilating method, red bumps may appear on your skin after using Gently Gold Caress. They are temporarily swollen hair follicles and should disappear overnight.

Q: Will my hair grow back as fast as it does when I shave?

Using the Gently Gold Caress, it takes a lot longer for hair to grow back (3 – 4 weeks) and you will find it grows back thinner and less dense.

Q: Why is Gently Gold Caress curved and why is it gold?

The tweezing head is curved to gently and safely glide along the contours of your body. The tweezing discs are 24-carat gold plated because gold is a soft, forgiving metal—it’s durable, yet very gentle on your skin.

Q: Can I really use the Gently Gold Caress to remove facial hair?

Gently Gold Caress will quickly and neatly extract individual facial hairs, even on the lip or forehead. Don’t be intimidated by the sound or size of this device.

Q: Should I apply anything to my skin after using the appliance?

To keep the skin moist, you can apply a cream or moisturizer.

Q: Can I use Gently Gold Caress if I have varicose veins?

If you have any medical questions, we strongly recommend that you consult your health care provider before using Gently Gold Caress.

IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS

• Before plugging your Gently Gold Caress into any electrical socket, make sure that the adapter is appropriate for the local voltage.
• Never reach for a Gently Gold Caress that has fallen into water—immediately unplug it. Do not use the unit while bathing or in the shower. Do not place or store your Gently Gold Caress where it can fall or be pulled by the power cord into a tub or sink.
• Always unplug your Gently Gold Caress when it is not in use, unless it is being recharged.
• Use Gently Gold Caress only for its intended purpose, as described in these instructions. This appliance is not to be used by, on, or near children.
• When the unit is switched on, prevent accidents and damage by keeping it away from the hair on your head, your eyelashes and eyebrows, as well as from clothes, brushes, wires, cords, etc.
• Regular cleaning and good maintenance ensures optimum results and will extend the lifetime your Gently Gold Caress. Clean as instructed. Do not use powders or other abrasives to clean the unit. This unit does not require any sanitizing.
• Fully discharge the Gently Golden Caress before every recharge by unplugging it from the electrical outlet then switching it on until the unit ceases running.
• Keep the protective cap on the appliance when it is not in use.
• For your protection, your Gently Gold Caress may slow down or cease operation completely if it is pressed too hard against the skin.
• Regular exfoliation with a massaging glove or loofah can help prevent ingrown hairs.
• The use of an epilator may cause reddening or irritation of the skin. This is a normal reaction that will quickly disappear. However, it the irritation remains for more than three days consult your health care provider.
• Do not use the Gently Gold Caress if you have varicose veins, spots or blemishes, or when your skin is irritated. Consult your health care provider before use.
• When not used as a rechargeable unit, only use (and charge) your Gently Gold Caress with the adapter supplied with the unit.
• Contains nickel-cadmium battery. Battery must be recycled or disposed of properly.
• The product herewith complies with the requirements of the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC and carries the “CE” mark accordingly.

WARRANTY

We warrant to the original user that this product shall be free from all defects in material or workmanship for one year from the date of original purchase. This warranty does not apply to any product that has been subject to abuse, misuse, negligence or accident, nor does it apply to any batteries that may be supplied with the product. Defects caused by tampering, unauthorized alterations or repairs are not covered by this warranty. We may elect to replace the entire unit, at no extra cost to you, with the same model or a similar model rather than repair it.
